Dear friends, dear colleagues,

It is a little over a month we had the Lisbon Conference.
It took some time to organize and have available on the conference websitye the video’s of the keynotes and their presentations but you can see them:

With 832 registrations and 759 that joined the conference from 60 countries we can call it a success.
We wish all colleagues, that last minute couldn’t come due to health-, family- or other issues, well and hope they recover soon.
Which makes: all preparational work which was done by ISEI and Eurlyaid together, has been a lot, but experiencing those conference days, the keynotes and all presentations and poster sesssions, it met the goals we had:
Bringing together all those colleagues and other people connected or interested on the topic of ECI.
We admire the commitment and we heard about the many connections that were realised, the exchange of information and building of networks among practitioners, researchers, policy makers and families that happened during the conference.
Only one word fits it all: PERFECT!
We wish future conferences will continue to serve this purpose and we hope to see you again on one of those conferences.

On Thursday morning, we observed a minute's silence to pay our respects to the Lisbon tram disaster. At that moment we were unaware that one of our American colleagues, Heather Hall, a mother of two young children https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cly12lrlxxvo , had died in this tragedy.
It was with a heavy heart that we informed all those who attended the conference.

We will let photo’s tell you the rest of the story….

Kind regard of the board of Eurlyaid
